Aroma Dermaga Seafood

The other day, one of my friend popped a questions, "How often you eat at PIK area?". My answer, more than pretty often.

To me apart from it was located not far from where I live, I enjoy the casual environment along with variety of foods they offered. Having a voucher to use definitely an extra bonus. Those were some of the reasons of me not hesitating on purchasing the voucher from disdus.com when I saw Aroma Dermaga's promo on their site a while ago.

Outback Steakhouse: An all time favorite

Hubby and I always have a thing for Outback. Since forever, the place had been our favorite dining. We have been together for almost 6 years since the first time we dated and out of that six years, three Valentine's dinner were celebrated here and countless of regular visits to this place had been done. Whenever we are craving on a good juicy steak, Outback had always becoming the safe place we went to as it never disappointed us, either from the food, the ambiance or the service itself.

Several weeks ago, hubby and I were thinking on where to have our dinner. Most of the time, I will suggest to go to a new place we both never went to, but that night we were in a serious need of good comfort food, something that will make our belly happy, so we decided to go for an all time favorite at Outback.

Angel's Heart Campaign

I recently found out about a charity campaign formed by 3littleangels specializing in helping poor children improving their life quality.

I always respect people with big hearts who would do such positive blessing things. To support them, simply just donate 150k and you will get a t-shirt. Of course, the purpose was not the t-shirt, it was only meant as an appreciation for our kind donation in the spirit of helping poor and sick children.

It was a very simple method to donate. You can go here or just text message like I did when I bought mine and Hubby's to +628388713858.

Let's do some sharing. :)

Mie Alip

A bowl of noodle to start my Sunday

About a month ago, I saw the review about "Mie Alip" in a magz focusing on mostly Jakarta's culinary, Yuk Makan!. It was written in the review that the noodle was famous for the super crowded patrons buzzing in for the delicious noodle.

Since it was located in a street I am familiar with, a week ago in a Sunday morning I went there with my mom hoping for a bowl of delicious breakfast. It was 9 something and the review was not exaggerating, the crowd was massive. Mie Alip was a very casual small eatery, the ruko was only 2 meters wide located beside motorcycle shops majored in Sawah Besar area.

Boba Inc Bubble Tea

Spotted a new bubble tea in front of Yamagoya Ramen. Seems like more and more bubble tea outlets mushrooming in Jakarta nowadays. Well, fine with me, more to come please. ;)

It was my first time knowing Boba Inc although the one at UOB Plaza is their 4th outlet. They were having promo "buy 1 get 1" during that time (only until 15apr). In comparison with other bubble tea joints in Jakarta such as Cha Time, Bobabits and Come Buy, Boba Inc came with lesser selections. One of their best seller was Nutty Professor, hazelnut milk tea with honey boba. I noticed they have some unique toppings like honey boba, pink boba, strawberry boba, yogurt boba, etc.

Yamagoya Ramen

A week ago, Hubby and I had something to do at UOB Plaza when I spotted another new ramen place in Jakarta, located in the corner of B1. The place was humble, and like most of ramen places, dominated with red color.

[REBRANDING] Twenty Eight SCBD

**The review is based on a trip when they are still named as Pad@28.

A friend of mine told me about a diner she frequently passing through which always seemed to have crowds day and night. Since it was located in the intersection of SCBD and Senopati not far from The Goods Diner, we went there right after our short brunch. Pad@28 (read: Pad 28) is a  reincarnation of Brasas, an Argentinan steak restaurant formerly in Pacific Place Jakarta, they moved and reinvented as Pad@28 on Oct 2011 in a big white house turned into a restaurant.

The Goods Diner

Last Saturday, my bestie and I went to the former Bengkel night park located at SCBD which now has transformed to Fairground. Initially, we planned to have lunch in the new Lucy In The Sky, turns out their opening time was at 3.30pm, while we reached there at 1 something, so we went to Goods Diner instead.

Eatology by Q Smoke House

Eatology, A new restaurant at Sabang area opened by Q Smoke House. It was recently open on beginning of January this year, located near Kopitiam Oey. Last Saturday, I went there with my mom and hubby. Dad went to Medan so it was only the three of us having dinner. From outside, Eatology looked like a small bistro, but stepping inside the place was quite spacious. Dominated with light woods & white chairs, the place looked clean & sleek.  People who don't smoke will enjoy it here as the sections were separated by a big doors which looked like a transparent window. They have second floor for VIP rooms but still under renovated.

Souly Butter Kitchen

Before Union was so famous with their delicious mouth watering Red Velvet, Souly Butter Kitchen was there first with red velvet cake when it was not as happening as now. I went there the first time during last year second day of Idul Fitri but it was closed. Last Friday after our dinner at Gourmet Garage, I went there aiming for nothing but red velvet.
