[CLOSED] Momento

I once saw a mutual friend at Facebook celebrated her baby first birthday at Momento. Besides the beautiful chubby baby girl, the other thing attracted me from those pictures were the cafe's interior. I love those brick white walls with high ceiling and the artificial fire place. So, couple weeks ago when I met up with a friend at PIK, we chose to have our lunch there. Well, I chose... She, kindly went along. *hugs*
Momento is located at the other part of newly developed food district at PIK. Several months ago, the street in line with Ikkudo was nearly had other cafes beside the ramen shop itself, yet now the street is crowded with so many new ones. Too many that I find it hard to keep up.

Ivy's tummy and time has its own quota. ;)

Anyway, just like what it showed on the pictures, Momento's design is beautiful. Occupied two rukos, the spacious exterior makes a cozy porch with comfy white rattan couches. Imagine sitting there with couple of good friends in a windy late afternoon. The inside is gorgeously sleek. White brick walls, chandelier hanging on the high ceiling with wooden furniture reflected vintage Victorian type.

The menu was quite limited, not too many options to choose from. In the end, I tried my luck with their Barbeque oven roasted chicken with mashed potato (64k) and my friend went with Chicken milanese with potato wedges (58k). We didn't order any sides simply because honestly nothing seemed to attract us from the menu. The chicken itself was okay, not bad neither great and the mashed potato was way too dry.

Did we enjoy the food? Personally, not as much as we enjoyed the interior look. Hopefully in the future, the menu will be improved to be similar as their beautiful design concept.
